Where can I buy Moleskine travel guides in Berlin?

I am only living in Berlin for one month, and I'll travel around during this period. I'm going to Amsterdam in 2 weeks, and I would LOVE to get a Moleskine City Guide for Amsterdam in English (I've got the Berlin one in the UK and I absolutely love it). Is there anywhere in Berlin that sells English Moleskines?

Hi Suzanne,

hmm, I don't recall ever seeing them on sale here. Your best bet might be to try "Schropp", which specialises in travel guides and maps; they're in the Potsdamer Straße (website: http://www.schropp.de/; some info in English here ); Dussmann in the Friedrichstraße also has a wide selection of travel literature and might be a good place to try. Failing that, most book shops with English books (see here for a list) will also be able to be able to order it for you in a few days (make sure you provide the ISBN number to be on the safe side - I'm guessing it's 8883706145).

If all else fails amazon.de will be able to order it for you.

There is a store near the Weinmeister Str. U-Bahn station where I bought the Berlin City Guide Moleskine a few weeks ago (they have a decent selection) but I'll be damned if I can remember what the shop was called.

The ISBN is 978-88-8370-614-1 and you should be able to get it within 1-2 days in any bog-standard bookshop anywhere in Germany. I'd recommend going to http://buchkatalog.de (customer website of the wholesaler KNOe-KV) and ordering it there (just search for the ISBN above) to get it delivered to a bookshop in your local part of Berlin which gets their books from them (search via postcode). Pretty simple, and if you manage it by Friday at 4pm, they should get it by Saturday morning, and then the next deadlines are Monday at 4, they should get it on Tuesday; otherwise during the week before about 4pm for next-day delivery to the bookshop.

The site is unfortunately entirely in German, but if you need help, contact Daggi, your friendly and übermorgen-unemployed Buchhändler vom Dienst.

RSVP in mitte sells them. even online if you don't feel like leaving the house. that'll be at moleskine.de - they keep it simple for you, don't they.
