I quite like the look of the second breakfast, perhaps without the bubble and squeak though. (Not a good name for a food item.) I am fresh back from London - all OK, a scheduled trip - and am now in my reintegration-dilemma phase. London was HEAVEN. On this occasion, at least. And in November. But Bowleserised has reminded me that my love might change if I actually saw folks' living conditions, which I didn't, bar my mother's, which are OK. Luckily, I suppose, I can't afford to be there - I spent more on train fares in under a week than I spend here on everything in a year (the famous Oyster doesn't work on overground trains) so I can just love London from afar. Did think of taking the Russian to one of those caffs, actually. Did that with a German guest 100 years ago. He was suitably unimpressed.

London is nice in small doses. I finally managed to get to the Science Museum (which was free, to my amazement) to see something I've been wanting to see for ages. Ended up walking across half the city because the circle line and friends weren't running (wrong kind of brakes or something) and the other lines were hopelessly overcrowded.
